CAREER

In 1991, he performed studies at Hopital Tenon, Prof. A. Laugier Service, Paris for 1 year with the Scholarship of French Government.

In 1995, he studied use of brachytherapy, neutrontherapy, 3D conformal radiotherapy techniques at Wayne State University, Harper Hospital, Gershenson Radiation Oncology Centre, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. for a period of 3 months as visitor.

Between 1991 and 2007, he attended meetings organized by national and international associations such as ASTRO, ESTRO , IAEA and TROD on brachyitherapy, chemoradiotherapy, IMRT, Stereotactic radiosurgery.

Between 2004 and 2008 he attended meetings of IAEA in Asian – African countries as speaker delegate.

AWARDS

In 1995, he was awarded with Philips Customer Partnership Prize with his study called “Mono Isocentric Radiation Therapy Technique for the Treatment of Head and Neck Tumours Using Asymmetric Collimators” in the category of “Enhanced Patient Care through new or improved Clinical Techniques” on behalf of the work group consisting of Gülkan Işın, Dilek Uzal, Salih Gürdallı, Güngör Arslan, İ. Lale Atahan and chaired by Enis Özyar.
