Letter of appreciation

Two years ago, in a hospital in Plovdiv city, I was diagnosed with cancer.

Thanks to my family, I had the opportunity to be treated at Acibadem Maslak Hospital in Istanbul.

That’s how I became a patient of Dr. Özlem Er, a medical oncology specialist at the same hospital. She performed some medical tests to identify exactly what the damage caused by the insidious disease was, and then she prescribed and conducted a therapy that allowed me to regain my health and feel like a normal person today. At regular check-ups every three weeks, she monitored how my body tolerated the prescribed therapy; she was interested to know how I felt, and every time I complained of side effects, which was inevitable in my condition, she had a solution. Each moment of that period, her professionalism and warm human attitude filled me with hope about the favorable outcome of the treatment. I knew I was in safe hands. I will never forget her smile that nurtured my confidence and her willingness to reply to all my questions arising during the treatment. Filled with gratitude, I wish her good health and lots of success in her noble work!

I would also like to express my admiration for the excellent organization at Acibadem Maslak Hospital, where you can feel that their purpose is to help you, to heal you.

In the chemotherapy and PET scanner wards, where my therapy was performed, I saw the work of polite young people, well trained and making you feel calm and secure which is crucial for cancer patients.

I am also very grateful to the interpreters, those accurate and well organized hospital employees, who were always by my side; without them what I felt and experienced would prove impossible.

Whatever happens with my health from now on, my admiration for the treatment received in Acibadem Hospital and my deep gratitude for their warm human attitude will certainly remain unchanged.
