Crohn’s disease and the Colitis Center

Crohn’s disease can develop in one or more components of the digestive system, such as the esophagus, stomach, and small and large intestines, and causes thickening and ulcers. Ulcerative colitis, on the other hand, develops in the large intestine (colon), specifically in the inner lining of the colon (mucosa). It causes inflammation and bleeding wounds (ulcers) in the mucosa. As it is a chronic illness, it needs to be monitored. At a specially established center in the hospital, we provide services related to these diseases, which have increased in frequency in recent years. In this center, our gastroenterology and surgical specialists diagnose and treat these diseases.
