4D Breast Ultrasound is an imaging device and it is used to diagnose breast cancer. ABVS (Automatic Breast Volumetric Scanner) is also called automated breast ultrasound, volumetric breast ultrasound or four-dimensional sonography. Automated Breast Ultrasound is used in combination with mammogram in breast cancer screening, if breast tissue is dense. Automated Breast Ultrasound can complement a mammogram in breast cancer screening for women with dense breast tissue that is healthy or has a benign formation on a mammogram. Patients are placed supine position on a bed for this scan. A gel is poured on the skin of breast and the probe of ultrasound scanner is moved over the breast. The images shown on screen of the ultrasound device are evaluated and the image is saved, if a suspicious finding is identified. Patients are placed supine position on a bed for this scan. A gel is poured on the skin of breast and next, the breast is horizontally scanned in an automated manner, after the probe of the ultrasound device that is used to acquire images is placed on the breast. This scanner can create three different (2 or 4 depending on certain conditions). The three-dimensional image and the data set also allow retrospective evaluation of the breast. The device scans the breast under supervision of a technician and the resultant 3D images are reviewed by a breast radiologist. Fill out the form below for your information requests
