The NAVIO knee robot is one of the most up-to-date treatment methods for traumatic and/or spontaneously occurring (primary) knee calcification. The NAVIO knee robot is used for procedures where the whole knee is not replaced.

During the surgery, the patient’s anatomy is loaded in a digital format. The surgeon processes this three-dimensional data, which is unique to the patient, onto a computer to determine the most suitable prosthesis components for the patient’s anatomy. The device’s software detects the patient’s anatomical knee structure and assists the surgeon in placing implants in the most suitable and balanced form by creating an image of the soft tissue balanced with mathematical values.

The NAVIO device’s advanced three-dimensional technology transforms the patient’s anatomical features into a virtual surgical plan. The device enables a standard mechanical shaving plan for deteriorated cartilaginous tissue to be checked in virtual form on the robot’s computer and changed, if necessary, without making an incision. This minimizes irreversible incision and shaving errors during surgery.
