The device is used to diagnose and treat balance disorders. Balance data is converted to numeric values and graphics by the device and results are reviewed by a physician to identify the cause of balance disorder. Posturography device reveals out the relation of balance with eyesight, inner ear and proprioception to determine the underlying cause of the problem. Balance rehabilitation program is planned depending on the problems that occur in balance system and thus, patients can easily continue their daily routines. This device is used for chronic inner ear diseases which cause balance problem (Menier’s disease, chronic vestibulopathies, car sickness) and chronic neurological diseases (history of head trauma, MS, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, cervical degenerative diseases). First stage of posturography is to identify the origin system of the balance disorder (visual, inner ear and proprioception).
