Assoc. Prof. Didem Öncel Yakar is an experienced general surgeon with a strong focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery and trauma care. She earned her medical degree from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and has built a career combining surgical practice, teaching, and clinical leadership. Since 2022 she has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where she contributes to high-quality surgical care and multidisciplinary patient management. She is an active member of the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Association, and the National Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery, reflecting her commitment to professional development and excellence in complex abdominal and emergency surgery.
