Assoc. Prof. Muharrem Koçyiğit is a board-certified anesthesiologist and intensivist with a strong clinical and academic background. He earned his medical degree and completed specialty training in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. Since 2009, he has been practicing with Acıbadem Health Group, contributing to perioperative care, advanced anesthesia techniques, and critical care management. His areas of expertise include cardiothoracic and thoracic anesthesia, regional anesthesia, pain management, and care of critically ill patients. He is actively engaged in minimally invasive and robotic cardiovascular procedures and collaborates closely with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes. He is a member of several national and international professional societies, including the European Society of Anaesthesiology, European Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesiologists, European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy, Association for Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiovascular Surgery, Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Intensive Care Association, Association of Regional Anesthesia, and the Thoracic Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Intensive Care Association. Known for a patient-centered approach and commitment to evidence-based practice, he combines clinical expertise with ongoing education and collaboration to advance anesthesia and critical care services.
