Assoc. Prof. Umut Kara, MD

Assoc. Prof. Umut Kara, MD is an anesthesiology specialist working in the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit at Acibadem Kartal Hospital in İstanbul. From 2010 to 2016 he worked in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Ankara, Türkiye, and from 2016 to 2023 in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Ministry of Health, Gülhane Training and Research Hospital in Ankara. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2023. Dr. Kara is a member of the Turkish Intensive Care Association, the Association of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Specialists, and the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation.

Clinical focus

Dr. Kara’s clinical work centers on intensive care treatment. This involves the monitoring and management of critically ill patients whose vital functions require close observation and support, and it typically includes coordination with the surgical and medical teams responsible for the patient’s underlying condition. As an anesthesiology and reanimation specialist, he also contributes to the perioperative care of patients within the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit.
