Personal Data Processing Notice

This notice explains in more detail how Acibadem Healthcare Group | World-Class Medical Care in Turkey, as data controller, processes the personal data of patients and website visitors. It complements our Privacy Statement. Where our operations are based in Turkiye, processing also follows Turkish data-protection law, in addition to the EU General Data Protection Regulation for visitors in the European Economic Area.

Categories of Data We Process

• Identity data: name, date of birth, nationality, passport or ID details and similar information, including a relative you nominate.
• Contact data: address, phone number, email and the content of your messages and call records.
• Health data: medical history, reports, laboratory and imaging results, appointment and treatment records and related clinical information.
• Financial data: billing details and payment information needed to organise your care.
• Visual and audio data: photographs or documents you upload, and recordings made for support or security purposes where applicable.
• Usage data: IP address, device and browser details and navigation data collected through cookies.

• Arranging appointments, reminders, travel and interpreter support.

Who We Share Data With

Depending on your needs, data may be shared with the treating hospitals, physicians and clinical teams, with insurers where applicable, with service providers supporting our operations, and with public authorities or courts where the law requires. Sharing is limited to what is necessary and is subject to confidentiality.

Legal Bases

We process data on the bases permitted by applicable law, including your explicit consent (in particular for health data and cross-border transfers), the steps necessary to provide the services you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, and compliance with legal obligations.

Your Rights

You may ask whether your data is processed and request a copy, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. Requests are handled within the timeframes set by law.

We apply appropriate technical and administrative measures, aligned with recognised information-security standards, to keep personal data confidential and protected, and we review these measures regularly.
