Assoc. Prof. Burcu Bulum Akbulut is a pediatric nephrologist with fellowship training from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine (2013). Since 2017 she has been affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group, where she provides specialized care for children with kidney disorders. Her clinical and academic work focuses on pediatric nephrology, including dialysis and transplant care, and management of rheumatic conditions affecting the kidneys. She is an active member of major professional organizations: the European Renal Association–European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA), the European Society for Pediatric Nephrology (ESPN), the Turkish Society of Nephrology, the Pediatric Rheumatism and Kidney Diseases Association, and the Pediatric Nephrology Society.
