Assoc. Prof. Ece Orhon is a psychiatrist with a longstanding commitment to clinical care, education, and advocacy. She earned her medical degree and completed specialty training in psychiatry at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, becoming an Associate Professor in 1985. Since 2002 she has been affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group, contributing to patient care and the development of psychiatric services. Beyond clinical practice, M.D. Orhon is active in professional and civic organizations. She is a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Psychiatric Association, and supports a wide range of social and environmental causes through memberships in the Turkish University Women’s Association, the Association for Research and Study on Women’s Social Life, the Federation of Turkish Women’s Associations, UNICEF, Greenpeace, WWF, and the TEMA Foundation. Her work bridges psychiatry, women’s issues, and public health, reflecting a dedication to improving mental health care and promoting social and environmental well-being.
