Prof. Namık Şahin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a focus on trauma, hip and knee arthroplasty, and sports-related knee injuries. He completed his orthopedics and traumatology specialization at Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital in 2012 and holds a faculty appointment at Acıbadem Health Group beginning in 2025. His clinical expertise spans complex fracture care, osteosynthesis, joint replacement, and minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques for knee and ankle disorders. He combines evidence-based surgical practice with a commitment to functional recovery and patient-centered care. Prof. Şahin is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association, TOTBID (Orthopedic Trauma and Foot & Ankle branches), Orthopedic Trauma and Osteosynthesis Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, EFORT, ESSKA, Turkish Sports Injury Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association, and societies devoted to medical history, ethics, and law. He is dedicated to advancing orthopedic education, improving trauma systems, and promoting best practices in joint preservation and replacement.
