Prof. Gülcihan Özkan is an experienced pulmonologist and academic with a strong focus on respiratory medicine and lung cancer. She earned the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and has since combined clinical practice with research and professional leadership. Since 2017 she has been affiliated with Acibadem Health Group, where she provides patient care, mentors junior clinicians, and contributes to multidisciplinary teams. Her professional involvement extends to several national and international societies, including the Lung Cancer Research Association, the Turkish Thoracic Society, the Respiratory Research Society of Turkey, and the European Respiratory Society. These memberships reflect her commitment to advancing lung disease research, promoting best practices in thoracic medicine, and collaborating across borders to improve patient outcomes.
