Hasan Fıstıkçı, MD

Hasan Fıstıkçı, MD is an anesthesiology specialist in the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit at Acibadem Dr. Sinasi Can (Kadikoy) Hospital in İstanbul. Dr. Fıstıkçı graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed training in Chest Diseases at İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1998. Between 1998 and 2001 he worked at İstanbul Private Ataşehir Polyclinic, İstanbul Özel Kent Hospital and İstanbul Özel Dr. Sadık Ahmet Hospital. From 2001 to 2005 he undertook specialization training at the İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, completing his Anesthesiology and Reanimation training in 2005, and in the same year he joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services. He is a member of the Turkish Anesthesiology and Reanimation Association and the Intensive Care Association. His published work includes articles on the treatment of acute asthma attacks, infection-related exacerbations of COPD, antibiotic treatment of severe pneumonia and outcomes of patients extubated after a T-piece trial.

Clinical focus

Dr. Fıstıkçı’s clinical work centers on the care of critically ill patients. Intensive care treatment involves the monitoring and support of patients whose vital functions are unstable, and advanced life support covers the structured measures used when breathing or circulation fail. His earlier training in chest diseases and his publications on respiratory infections and weaning from mechanical ventilation are connected to this area of practice.

He also works in palliative care, which focuses on relieving symptoms and supporting comfort for patients with serious illness, and in pain management. How Dr. Fıstıkçı works with international patients

Dr. Fıstıkçı consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
