Prof. Nur Dilek Bakan is a thoracic medicine specialist with extensive clinical and academic experience. She completed advanced training at Yedikule Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital, earning her associate professorship between 2013 and 2019. Currently affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group since 2023, she focuses on chest diseases, lung health, and related critical care. An active member of several professional bodies, she participates in the Turkish Thoracic Society’s Lung Transplantation Working Group and contributes to national efforts through the Tuberculosis Control Association and the Lung Health and Intensive Care Association. She is also involved with the European Respiratory Society and the Respiratory Research Society of Turkey, reflecting her engagement in both clinical practice and respiratory research.
