Prof. Sabahattin Kaymakoğlu is a seasoned hepatology and gastroenterology specialist with a long-standing academic and clinical career. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and advanced to a professorship. Since 2001 he has been affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group, where he combines patient care, research, and teaching. His professional interests focus on liver disease, viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and organ transplantation. He is an active member of several national and international organizations, including the Association for Liver Research, the Turkish Gastroenterology Association, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the Clinical Association, the Association for the Fight Against Viral Hepatitis, the Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Association, and the Organ Transplantation and Organizations Coordination Association.
