Assoc. Prof. Murat Urkan is an accomplished colorectal and general surgeon with a strong background in surgical education and clinical practice. He earned his associate professorship in 2020 from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Training and Research Hospital. He currently practices with Acibadem Health Group, where he continues to provide advanced surgical care. M.D. Urkan is active in several professional organizations, including the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and the Hepatopancreatobiliary Association. He serves on the Basic Surgery Training Course Commission and is a member of the editorial team for the Turkish Journal of Colorectal Disease. He is also affiliated with the Ankara Breast Surgery Association. His work combines clinical excellence, education, and scholarly contributions to advance surgical standards and patient care in colorectal and related fields.
