Assoc. Prof. Emre Günay is a board-level colorectal and general surgeon with broad international training and clinical experience. He completed advanced surgical training at the Friedrich Alexander University Clinics of Surgery and Coloproctology in Erlangen, Germany (2019) and currently practices with Acibadem Health Group (since 2023). His clinical focus includes colorectal surgery, minimally invasive and endoscopic-laparoscopic techniques, and perioperative care for complex surgical patients. He is an active member of multiple national and international professional societies, including the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), the Turkish Surgical Association, and the National Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Society. He is also affiliated with the Turkish Organ Transplant Organizations Coordination Association (TONKKD), the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO), and the Turkish Medical Association. He holds fellowship status with the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Known for combining evidence-based practice with patient-centered care, he contributes to multidisciplinary teams and advances in minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
