Between 2013 and 2018 he completed his urology residency at the Urology Clinic of Health Sciences University / İstanbul Training and Research Hospital. From 2018 to 2020 he served as a specialist physician in urology at Çukurca State Hospital, again as compulsory service, and in 2019 he obtained the EBU Diploma of the European Board of Urology Fellowship. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2020, and in 2024 he received the title of Associate Professor at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Faculty of Medicine. He has co-authored peer-reviewed publications on topics including multiparametric MRI and prostate cancer, Retzius-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, kidney stone treatment, bladder cancer and sexual function.
Clinical focus
Dr. Karşıyakalı evaluates and treats a range of urologic conditions. In urologic oncology, his practice covers prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney cancer.
