Dr. Ferhat Oto

Dr. Ferhat Oto is an Internal Medicine specialist at Acibadem Bursa Hospital in Bursa. His clinical work centers on the assessment and medical treatment of adult patients with conditions such as kidney diseases, diabetes insipidus, obesity, hypertension, gastritis and upper respiratory tract diseases. Dr. Oto graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2005. After working at Canan Akkuş Health Center, Siirt, from 2006 to 2007, he undertook Physiology Specialty Training at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine (2007–2008) and then completed his Internal Medicine Specialty Training at the same faculty between 2008 and 2013. He subsequently worked in the Internal Medicine Clinics of Mardin State Hospital (2013–2014), Gaziantep Dr. Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital (2014–2017) and Bursa Çekirge State Hospital (2017–2022). He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Association of Internal Medicine and Specialization, and the Complementary Treatments Research Association (Homeopathy and Ozone Therapy). Dr. Oto has co-authored peer-reviewed publications, including a study on the evaluation of volume overload in patients with stage 3, 4 and 5 chronic kidney disease, a study on factor XIII Val34Leu polymorphism in thrombosis cases in the southeast of Turkey, and an evaluation of patients with acute drug poisoning in a university hospital in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.

Clinical focus

Dr. Oto sees patients with a range of internal medicine conditions. In kidney diseases, his work includes the clinical evaluation and medical management of patients, an area reflected in his published research on chronic kidney disease. He also assesses and treats patients with hypertension, where care generally involves reviewing blood pressure findings, existing medication and associated risk factors before agreeing on a treatment plan.

His areas of expertise further include diabetes insipidus and obesity, both of which are approached through medical treatment tailored to the individual patient’s history and findings. Dr. Oto also evaluates and manages gastritis and upper respiratory tract diseases. How Dr. Oto works with international patients

Dr. Oto consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
