Prof. Özlem Sönmez is a medical oncologist and professor at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Faculty of Medicine. She earned her professorship in 2022 and brings extensive clinical and academic experience to her role. Since 2020 she has been affiliated with Acıbadem Health Group, where she contributes to patient care, teaching, and ongoing oncology research. Prof. Sönmez is active in the international oncology community and holds memberships in leading professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the European School of Oncology (ESO), and the Turkish Medical Association’s Istanbul Medical Chamber. Her work focuses on delivering evidence-based cancer care and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
