TARIK ZAFER NURSAL

Prof. Tarik Zafer Nursal is a board-level surgeon and academic leader with a distinguished career in surgical practice, education, and research. Appointed Professor at Başkent University in 2014, he combines deep clinical expertise with strong academic credentials. In 2024 he joined Acıbadem Health Group, where he continues to provide advanced surgical care and mentor the next generation of surgeons. His professional interests span hernia surgery, endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques, breast disease, surgical oncology, and prevention and management of surgical infections. He is an active member of numerous national and international societies, including the European Hernia Society, European Society for Endoscopic Surgery, Turkish Surgical Association, National Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery Society, National Hernia Society, National Surgical Infection Society, Çukurova Breast Diseases Association, KEPAN, and the Turkish Cancer Research Foundation.
