Assoc. Prof. Müjdat Kara, MD

Assoc. Prof. Müjdat Kara, MD is an Internal Medicine specialist practicing at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Internal Medicine unit. Clinical focus

A substantial part of Dr. Kara’s practice concerns thyroid disease. He evaluates and manages thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, goiter, Hashimoto’s disease, hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease, as well as other thyroid disorders. In the field of metabolic medicine, he provides diabetes management for patients with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and gestational diabetes, and he assesses patients with insulin resistance.

Dr. Kara also sees patients with obesity and morbid obesity, offering medical evaluation and follow-up of weight-related metabolic conditions. His further areas of interest include menopause, growth and puberty, pituitary and adrenal conditions, autoimmune endocrine disorders and endocrine pancreatic tumors.
