Prof. Dr. Bülent Evren Erkul

Prof. Dr. Bülent Evren Erkul is an otorhinolaryngology specialist with a focus on head and neck surgery. His clinical interests include oncological surgery, head and neck cancers, salivary gland diseases, thyroid surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, hoarseness, snoring, and cancers of the tongue, larynx, and salivary glands.

He graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and completed his otorhinolaryngology training at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2007. He became Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2020 at Health Sciences University, Gülhane and Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul. His international training includes observerships at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Head and Neck Cancer Center, followed by a fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina Head and Neck Tumor Center. In 2024, he completed a PhD in Molecular Oncology at Hamidiye Health Sciences Institute, Health Sciences University.

Before joining Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2026, he served as a faculty member at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Haydarpaşa Training Hospital and Health Sciences University, and later worked at Anadolu Sağlık Merkezi Hospital in association with Johns Hopkins Medicine.
