Prof. Dr. Ayhan Aşkın

Prof. Dr. Ayhan Aşkın is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at İzmir Kent Hospital, working in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, pain treatment, and spine health. His clinical interests include neck and lumbar spine conditions, cervical and lumbar disc herniation, frozen shoulder, facet joint syndrome, fibromyalgia, myalgia, lymphedema treatment, Parkinson’s rehabilitation, myopathy, and sports and knee injuries.

He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2005 and also studied at the University of Florence in 2007. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation training at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine in 2010, and in the same year received the Turkish Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Proficiency Certificate. He later earned the Fellow of the European Board of PRM (2011), Board Certified PRM Trainer (2017), and Senior Fellow of the European Board of PRM (2023). His academic career at İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Atatürk Training and Research Hospital progressed from specialist physician to Doctor Faculty Member, Associate Professor, and Professor.
