Prof. Dr. Çetin Karaca (m)

Prof. Dr. Çetin Karaca is a gastroenterologist at International Hospital with clinical interests covering inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, iron deficiency, dyspepsia, gastritis, gastroenteritis, reflux, constipation, small bowel diseases, pancreatic diseases, and biliary tract diseases. His practice also includes diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS.

He graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1993, completed his Internal Medicine training there in 1998, and completed his Gastroenterology training at the same faculty in 2003. He received the European Board of Gastroenterology Diploma in 2008. His academic and clinical career has included roles at Acıbadem Healthcare Services, İstanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine as Associate Professor and later Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, and İstanbul Surp Pirgic Armenian Hospital. He also undertook endoscopic ultrasonography training at Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital in 2008–2009 and was an observer at the Advanced Endoscopy Center of Johns Hopkins Clinic in 2022.
