Prof. Dr. İsmail Mete İtil

Prof. Dr. İsmail Mete İtil is a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics at İzmir Kent Hospital, with clinical focus on urogynecology, menopause, urinary incontinence and bladder health, and endometriosis treatment. His areas of interest also include cesarean delivery, epidural birth, detailed ultrasound in pregnancy, gestational diabetes, ectopic pregnancy, hysterectomy, HPV, cervical cancer, uterine prolapse, and endometriosis-related ovarian cysts.

He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1986 and completed his training in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. His career has included compulsory service at Rize Pazar State Hospital, followed by academic appointments at Ege University Faculty of Medicine as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He also served as Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Director of the Family Planning and Infertility Research and Application Center, and held faculty and academic board roles. Since 2023, he has also been part of Acıbadem Healthcare Services.
