Prof. Dr. Hamdi Karakayalı is a physician at Acibadem Atakent Hospital’s Kidney Transplant Center. His clinical interests include kidney and liver transplantation, pancreatic, liver and biliary tract diseases, liver cancer, gallbladder and bile duct cancers, endocrine surgery, thyroid surgery, inguinal hernia, haemorrhoids and anorectal conditions.
He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and completed General Surgery training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1994. His academic career at Başkent University Hospital included roles as Assistant Associate Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. He has also held leadership responsibilities in organ transplantation and hepatopancreatobiliary units, and joined Acibadem Healthcare Services in 2017.
