Assoc. Prof. Alpay Medetalibeyoğlu, MD

Assoc. Prof. Alpay Medetalibeyoğlu, MD is an Internal Medicine specialist practicing at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Internal Medicine unit. He served as Assistant Coordinator in that department from 2020 and was appointed Associate Professor there in 2021. In 2023 he was at Northwestern University Feinberg School Of Medicine.

Dr. Medetalibeyoğlu evaluates and manages a range of internal medicine conditions. Thyroid disorders and their treatment are a particular focus of his practice. He also provides diagnosis and treatment of metabolic disease, including type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and prediabetes, and he offers medical management of obesity. His work includes the long-term management of chronic diseases and attention to geriatric health in older adults.

In addition, he assesses and treats acute presentations such as edema, poisoning, upper respiratory tract infections and gastroenteritis.
