Anıl Doğan, MD

Anıl Doğan, MD is a pediatrician at Acibadem Atakent Hospital in İstanbul, where he works in the hospital’s Pediatrics unit. He has more than 13 years of experience in medicine and cares for newborns, infants, children and adolescents, with a clinical focus on routine growth and development monitoring and the evaluation and treatment of common childhood conditions.

Dr. Doğan graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 2013. He then worked as a general practitioner in pediatric emergency care at Van İpekyolu Children’s Hospital from 2013 to 2014 before beginning his specialty training as a research assistant in pediatrics at İstanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Pediatrics training at Medeniyet University Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2019. He subsequently served as a pediatrics specialist at Balıkesir Havran State Hospital in 2021, at Balıkesir Burhaniye State Hospital from 2021 to 2022, at Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital from 2022 to 2024 and at Medicana Ataköy Hospital from 2024 to 2025. From 2023 to 2024, he also held an academic position as a doctor faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at İstanbul Arel University Faculty of Medicine. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2025.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Doğan’s practice is well-child follow-up, in which growth, development and general health are monitored at age-appropriate intervals. In the neonatal period, his work includes newborn follow-up, newborn screening tests and the treatment of neonatal jaundice. He also evaluates and manages infant colic and gas pain in infants and children, which are frequent reasons for parents to seek pediatric advice in the first months of life.

For older infants, children and adolescents, Dr. Doğan diagnoses and treats childhood infectious diseases, including upper respiratory tract infections, and addresses childhood nutrition disorders and constipation in children. His scope extends to child and adolescent health more broadly. Assessment and treatment planning are based on each child’s history, examination findings and, where needed, the results of laboratory or other investigations.

How Dr. Doğan works with international patients

Dr. Doğan speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for families who prefer another language. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as laboratory results, vaccination and growth records, ultrasound reports and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the child’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Dr. Doğan also offers video consultations for international patients, which may be used to discuss existing findings or to plan a subsequent in-person assessment where appropriate.
