Büşra Nükhet Pehlivanoğlu, MD is a pediatrician at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul, where she works in the Pediatrics unit. Dr. Pehlivanoğlu graduated from İstanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2013. Between 2014 and 2019 she trained in the Department of Pediatrics at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, completing her specialty training in Pediatrics at İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2019. From 2020 to 2021 she carried out her compulsory service at Kars Harakani State Hospital. In 2022 she worked as a specialist doctor in Pediatrics at Health Sciences University Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital, and in the same year she qualified as a breastfeeding consultant. She joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2024.

Clinical focus

Her clinical work covers child and adolescent health and healthy child follow-up, including age-appropriate monitoring of growth and development. She follows newborns after birth, interprets newborn screening tests and evaluates and monitors newborn jaundice. She also sees infants with colic and provides breastfeeding counseling to families who have feeding-related concerns.

Dr. Pehlivanoğlu assesses children with developmental disorders and monitors pediatric nutrition disorders. She evaluates and treats iron deficiency and anemia in children, and she manages upper respiratory tract illnesses in children. Where a child’s condition requires input from another specialty, further evaluation can be arranged as part of the care plan.

How Dr. Pehlivanoğlu works with international patients

Dr. Pehlivanoğlu speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for families who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as laboratory results, growth records, newborn screening results, ultrasound or X-ray reports, discharge summaries and notes from previous treatments, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the child’s history and symptoms, a review of existing test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination of the child and a discussion of the options with the family. For families abroad, a video consultation can be arranged to review a child’s history and existing reports and to discuss whether an in-person evaluation is needed; a physical examination cannot be carried out remotely, so some assessments may need to wait for a hospital visit.
