Dila Güzel, Dietitian

Dila Güzel is a dietitian in the Nutrition & Diet unit at Acibadem Dr. Sinasi Can (Kadikoy) Hospital in İstanbul. She has more than five years of experience in the field of nutrition and diet. She graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Health Sciences in 2023. Before completing her degree, she also finished a Minor in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at Yeditepe University in 2021, combining a clinical understanding of nutrition with training in food preparation and culinary practice.

Dila Güzel joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2024. From 2023 to 2024 she worked as a Dietitian at the Turkish Diabetes Foundation in İstanbul. Her earlier professional development took place through a series of Intern Dietitian placements in İstanbul and İzmir. In 2023 these included 360 Fit Ataşehir, Ahmet Yesevi AÇEM, the Turkish Diabetes Foundation, Arateus Diabetes Center, İstanbul Bariatric Center and Sporcu Diyetisyenim. Between 2022 and 2023 she completed an internship at Aka Diet, and in 2022 she held Intern Dietitian roles at Fit Together, Ümraniye District Health Directorate and İzmir Private Can Hospital in İzmir.

Clinical focus

Dila Güzel’s professional focus is nutrition and diet. Her practice is based on nutritional assessment and dietary counselling, in which a patient’s individual needs are reviewed and dietary recommendations are discussed with them. Because dietary advice depends on a person’s overall health, existing diagnoses and any ongoing medical treatment, recommendations are considered on an individual basis rather than as a single standard program.

Her training placements covered a range of settings in which dietitians commonly work. How Dila Güzel works with international patients

Dila Güzel speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who prefer another language. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports, such as laboratory results, imaging reports, pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organises the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing reports and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients, which allows a preliminary discussion to take place before any travel is planned. Any dietary recommendations that follow are based on the individual patient’s situation and are reviewed in light of the information provided.
