Prof. Dr. Emine Handan Zeren

Prof. Emine Handan Zeren is a professor of medical pathology with a distinguished career in clinical practice, education, and professional leadership. She completed her medical pathology training at Çukurova University in 2001 and has served in prominent roles since, including appointments at Acıbadem Health Group beginning in 2009. Her expertise centers on pulmonary and gynecologic pathology, with a strong focus on lung cancer and breast disease. She has held leadership positions in international specialty groups, notably serving as President of the European Pulmonary Pathology Working Group and chairing pulmonary pathology activities within national thoracic societies.

An active member of numerous professional organizations, she belongs to the European Society of Pathology (ESP), European Respiratory Society (ERS), European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), Pulmonary Pathology Society (PPS), and Turkish Lung Cancer Association (TCA). She is a founding member of the Çukurova Pathology Association and the Çukurova Breast Diseases Association, and participates in the Turkish Pathology Association and Ankara Pathology Association.
