Across all of these conditions, Dr. Öztürk’s role is to provide emergency assessment and initial treatment, with ongoing management coordinated with the relevant specialties as each case requires.

How Dr. Öztürk works with international patients

Dr. Öztürk consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that may be appropriate. Video consultation is available for international patients in situations where a remote discussion is suitable, for instance to review reports or discuss follow-up after emergency care; acute emergencies themselves require in-person evaluation at a medical facility.
