Prof. Dr. Nur Olgun is a pediatric oncologist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir) in İzmir, with more than 47 years in medicine. Dr. Olgun graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1979. She completed training in Child Health and Diseases at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1984 and in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the same faculty in 1998. At the Dokuz Eylül University, Oncology Institute she became Associate Professor Doctor in 1989 and Professor Doctor in 1995. From 1985 to 1992 she was a faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Child Health and Diseases, at the Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Medicine. From 1992 to 2025 she served as a faculty member of the Dokuz Eylül University, Oncology Institute, where she was Institute Director from 2012 to 2024. Between 2022 and 2024 she was also Dean of the Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Medicine. She retired from the Oncology Institute in 2025 and joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in the same year.

Dr. Olgun evaluates and treats children with a range of solid and hematologic cancers. Her areas of expertise include lymphoma, Wilms tumor, childhood brain tumors and rare tumors of childhood. She has co-authored studies on chemo-immunotherapy regimens in refractory or relapsed neuroblastoma, on dinutuximab beta combined with conventional chemotherapy in relapsed or refractory high-risk disease, on genetic and protein biomarkers in neuroblastoma, and on national treatment protocols of the Turkish Pediatric Oncology Group. Dr. Olgun is a member of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), the International Society of Paediatric Oncology Europe Neuroblastoma Group (SIOPEN), The Pediatric Oncology East and Mediterranean (POEM) Group, the Turkish Pediatric Oncology Group (TPOG) Association, the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Cancer Research and Fight Foundation, and the Turkish Cancer Research and Fight Institution Association, İzmir Branch.
