Melih Can Öner, MD is an otorhinolaryngology (ENT) specialist at Acibadem Maslak Hospital in İstanbul, where he works within the Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) unit. Clinical focus

Nasal and sinus conditions form a significant part of Dr. Öner’s practice. He evaluates and manages chronic sinusitis, using nasal endoscopy to examine the nasal passages and sinus openings as part of the diagnostic work-up. He also treats nasal septum deviation, which can contribute to nasal obstruction and breathing difficulty, and performs septoplasty to correct the deviated septum when conservative measures are not sufficient. The choice between medical and surgical management is made after examination and a review of the patient’s symptoms and prior treatment.

In the throat, his areas of expertise include tonsillitis and adenoid hypertrophy, together with the corresponding surgical procedures, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. His ear-related work covers hearing loss evaluation, otitis media and ear tube placement where it is indicated. He also assesses vertigo and balance disorders, where a careful history and clinical examination help to distinguish inner ear causes from other possible origins of dizziness before a treatment plan is discussed.

How Dr. Öner works with international patients
