How Dr. Yıldız works with international patients

Dr. Yıldız speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who need them. For international patients, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, including MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organises the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultation is available for international patients, which may be useful for an initial discussion of a patient’s situation before or after a visit; however, emergency conditions require in-person assessment, and any advice given remotely is limited by the information that can be gathered in that format.
