Nisa Ildız Çelebioğlu, DDS

The central area of Dr. Çelebioğlu’s practice is orthodontic care. This begins with a dental alignment assessment, in which the position of the teeth, the relationship between the upper and lower jaws and the way the teeth meet are examined. Existing dental records and any available imaging are reviewed as part of this evaluation, and the findings are discussed with the patient in plain terms.

On the basis of this assessment, she prepares an orthodontic treatment plan. The plan is tailored to the individual patient’s alignment needs and takes into account the stage of dental development, previous dental or orthodontic treatment and the patient’s own priorities. Not every alignment concern requires the same approach, and some patients may need further evaluation before a plan can be finalized. Where appropriate, she also considers patients who have had orthodontic treatment in the past and are now experiencing changes in their tooth position, a topic she has addressed in her published work.

How Dr. Çelebioğlu works with international patients

Dr. Çelebioğlu consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as dental X-rays, panoramic or CT images, previous orthodontic records and treatment summaries, and arranges the appointment and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current concerns, a review of existing imaging and any previous dental or orthodontic treatment, a clinical examination and a discussion of the available options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before traveling; a final assessment and treatment plan generally require an in-person examination.
