How Dr. Bölükbaşı works with international patients

Dr. Bölükbaşı speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for families who prefer another language. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as growth records, laboratory results, previous prescriptions, ultrasound or X-ray reports and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit itself. A first consultation typically covers the child’s medical and developmental history and current symptoms, a review of any existing test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination of the child and a discussion of the possible next steps with the family. Video consultation is available for international patients, which may be suitable for an initial discussion, a review of existing reports or follow-up after a visit, although a physical examination of the child may still be required to reach conclusions.
