Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as laboratory results, MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s medical history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging, test results and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that may be appropriate. Video consultations are available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation with Dr. Sezgin before deciding whether to travel, although a video consultation may not replace an in-person examination where one is needed.
