Salih Gülten, MD

Salih Gülten, MD is a physician at the Kidney Transplant Center of Acibadem Bursa Hospital in Bursa, where he works within the Organ Transplantation unit. Dr. Gülten graduated from İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1991. He began his career at the Sinop Health Group Directorate (1991–1992) and then worked at the Uşak Health Group Directorate from 1993 to 1996. From 1996 to 2011 he served as a physician at the Uludağ University Department of Health, Culture and Sports, and during the same period he practiced workplace medicine at a private institution in Bursa. Between 2003 and 2011 he was Organ and Tissue Transplantation Coordinator at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2011. He is a member of the Organ Transplant Coordinators Association (ONKOD), the Medical Ethics and Medical Law Association, the Bursa Medical Chamber and the Turkish Society of Nephrology.

How Dr. Gülten works with international patients

Dr. Gülten consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, for example ultrasound, CT or MRI reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that may be considered.
