Once the initial assessment has been completed, Dr. Esin is responsible for urgent medical management. Depending on the findings, this may include stabilizing the patient, starting treatment for the immediate problem, arranging further diagnostic work-up or involving colleagues from other specialties within the hospital. Some patients can be treated and discharged from the Emergency Service with advice on follow-up, while others require admission for ongoing care. Because emergency presentations vary widely, the specific approach in each case depends on the individual patient’s condition and cannot be predicted in advance.

How Dr. Esin works with international patients

Dr. Esin speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who prefer to communicate in another language. For patients coming from abroad, the international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that may be appropriate. Video consultation is available for international patients, which can be useful for an initial conversation or for reviewing existing records before travel; it does not replace the in-person assessment that emergency care requires. Any decisions about treatment are made only after Dr. Esin has evaluated the patient directly.
