Zeynep Karaca, MD

Zeynep Karaca, MD is a pediatrician at the Acibadem Bodrum Outpatient Clinic in Muğla, where she works in the Pediatrics unit. Dr. Karaca graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 2006 and began her career the same year as a general practitioner at Akkuş Akpınar Health Center in Ordu. In 2007 she worked as a research assistant in Physiology at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in Edirne, and from 2007 to 2013 she completed her residency in Pediatrics at the same faculty, qualifying as a pediatrician in 2013. She then worked as a specialist doctor at Ünye State Hospital from 2013 to 2014, as a pediatrician at Amerikan Hospital in 2017, and as a pediatrician at Ota & Jinemed Hospital in İstanbul from 2018 to 2022. Between 2023 and 2026 she ran a private practice in Bodrum-Yalıkavak offering outpatient services, parental counseling and infant and child development monitoring. In 2026 she joined Özel Güvencer Medical Center and Acıbadem Healthcare Services. She is a member of Türk Pediatri Kurumu and the European Young Pediatricians Association.

Clinical focus

Dr. Karaca’s clinical work centers on outpatient pediatric care. In this setting she sees infants, children and adolescents for routine check-ups and for the assessment of common childhood complaints, with the aim of recognizing concerns and deciding whether further evaluation or referral is needed. A large part of her practice is dedicated to infant development monitoring and child development monitoring: following growth and developmental progress over time and discussing findings with families in an understandable way.

Parent counselling is another area of her practice. She works with parents on everyday questions about their child’s health, development and care, and helps them understand what to expect at each stage. Where a child’s condition requires care beyond an outpatient setting, she can guide families toward the appropriate next steps.

How Dr. Karaca works with international patients

Dr. Karaca consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for families who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports, such as previous pediatric records, laboratory results, imaging reports and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the visit to the clinic. A first consultation typically covers the child’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing reports and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options. Video consultations are also available for international patients who wish to discuss their child’s situation before travelling or to follow up after a visit.
