Where existing X-rays or other dental imaging are available, these are reviewed as part of the same assessment. The purpose of this stage is to identify current problems, note areas that may need monitoring and establish a baseline for later comparison.

Dental diagnosis and treatment planning follow from this evaluation. Dr. Güler discusses the findings with the patient, explains what has been identified and outlines the possible approaches, including the order in which any treatment might be carried out and what each step would involve. How Dr. Güler works with international patients

Dr. Güler consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as dental X-rays, CT reports, laboratory results and notes from previous treatments, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit itself. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous dental work, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options that follow from the findings.
