Ali Alper Yüksel, MD

Ali Alper Yüksel, MD is a radiologist at Acibadem Kent Hospital (Izmir), where he works in the Radiology unit. Clinical focus

A significant part of Dr. Yüksel’s work is breast imaging. He performs and interprets mammography and uses complementary imaging methods in the evaluation of breast diseases. Findings are reported in a way that can support the referring physician in deciding whether further investigation or follow-up is needed. Imaging results are always considered together with the patient’s clinical history, and the choice of study depends on the individual situation.

Dr. Yüksel also works with magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and ultrasound imaging, which are used to examine different organs and tissues depending on the clinical question. Another area of his practice is virtual angiography, an imaging approach for visualizing blood vessels. As a diagnostic radiologist, he does not provide treatment himself; his role is to produce and interpret imaging so that the clinical team can plan the next steps.

How Dr. Yüksel works with international patients

Dr. Yüksel consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the hospital’s international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the options, including which imaging studies may be appropriate. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their case or review imaging findings remotely before or after a hospital visit.
