Ayberk Çakır, MD

He then worked as a general practitioner at Esenler Community Health Center (2016–2017) and in the Emergency Clinic of Sultan Abdulhamid Han Training and Research Hospital (2017). His postgraduate training included periods in Child Health and Diseases at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine (2017) and Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital (2018), and he completed a program in Health Institutions Management at Anadolu University Open Education Faculty in 2020. He completed his specialty training in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology Training and Research Hospital in 2022 and subsequently served as a specialist physician at Muş State Hospital from 2022 to 2024. He joined Acıbadem Healthcare Services in 2026.

Clinical focus

A central part of Dr. Çakır’s practice is urogynecology, including the assessment and management of urinary incontinence, bladder health and disorders, and pelvic pain and functional disorders. His surgical work includes robotic gynecologic surgery and vNOTES scarless vaginal laparoscopy, a vaginal approach that avoids abdominal incisions. The choice between surgical and non-surgical options depends on the individual patient’s findings and is discussed after examination.

Dr. Çakır also provides menopause care and general gynecological assessment, including evaluation and follow-up for HPV and sexually transmitted infections. In obstetrics, his practice covers pregnancy follow-up and delivery, including epidural delivery. He additionally performs genital aesthetic procedures. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications on topics such as the delta neutrophil index as a potential biomarker for fetal growth restriction, perinatal outcomes in nonimmune hydrops fetalis, feto-maternal outcomes in cesarean deliveries in patients with gestational diabetes, and a case of venous sinus thrombosis in the puerperium.

How Dr. Çakır works with international patients

Dr. Çakır consults in Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. Before a visit, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior medical reports and imaging, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital stay. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and current symptoms, a review of existing imaging and any previous treatments, a clinical examination, and a discussion of the possible options. Video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before traveling, although some questions can only be answered after an in-person examination.
