Aylin İlksöz, MD is an anesthesiologist in the Anesthesiology & Reanimation unit at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital in İstanbul. Clinical focus

The core of Dr. İlksöz’s work is anesthesia: assessing patients before a procedure, planning and delivering anesthetic care during surgery or other interventions, and monitoring the patient through recovery. This includes reviewing a patient’s medical history, current medications and previous experiences with anesthesia so that the anesthetic approach can be adapted to the individual and to the planned procedure. Because anesthesiology is closely tied to the surgical or interventional team, she works alongside the treating physicians throughout the perioperative period.

Her practice also encompasses reanimation and intensive care. This involves the care of critically ill patients and of patients who require close monitoring and organ support after major surgery or during acute illness. Her earlier work in prehospital emergency medical services and her residency in anesthesiology and reanimation form the background for this part of her practice. Decisions about admission to intensive care, the level of monitoring required and the duration of intensive care support are made on an individual basis and in coordination with the wider medical team.

How Dr. İlksöz works with international patients

Dr. İlksöz speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages.
