Beril Karakaya Gökçimen, DDS is a dentist whose work is centered on prosthetic dental treatment. Dr. Gökçimen speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who prefer another language. For patients traveling from abroad, the Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as dental X-rays, CT reports, previous treatment records and discharge summaries, and arranges appointments and the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous dental treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the available prosthetic options. A video consultation is available for international patients who wish to discuss their situation before deciding whether to travel; the scope of such a consultation is limited to what can be assessed without an in-person examination, and any recommendation is subject to a clinical assessment on site.
