Clinical focus

Dr. Beyazkılınç’s areas of expertise are intensive care, critical care monitoring, and anesthesiology and reanimation. In the intensive care setting, she is involved in the assessment and ongoing management of patients whose condition requires continuous observation, support of vital functions and frequent reassessment. Critical care monitoring forms a central part of this work: heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, oxygen levels and other parameters are followed closely so that changes in a patient’s condition can be identified and addressed as they arise.

Her training in anesthesiology and reanimation underpins this approach. Reanimation, in this context, refers to the stabilization and support of patients in life-threatening situations, while anesthesiology covers the management of sedation, pain relief and the maintenance of vital functions during and after procedures. Intensive care is by nature multidisciplinary, and decisions are made in coordination with the other medical teams responsible for a patient’s underlying condition. The course of treatment in intensive care depends on the individual patient’s condition and response, and plans are reviewed and adjusted as the clinical picture evolves.

How Dr. Beyazkılınç works with international patients

Dr. Beyazkılınç speaks Turkish and English, and interpreters can be arranged for patients who speak other languages. The Acibadem international patient team coordinates the collection of prior reports and imaging, such as MRI, CT, X-ray or ultrasound reports, laboratory and pathology results, operative notes and discharge summaries, arranges appointments and organizes the hospital visit. A first consultation typically covers the patient’s history and symptoms, a review of existing imaging and previous treatments, a clinical examination and a discussion of the available options. Video consultation is available for international patients, which may be useful for an initial review of records or for follow-up discussions in situations where a physical examination is not required. Throughout treatment, communication with the patient and their family is maintained, with close clinical follow-up during the stay in the intensive care unit.
